Lets change guns into guitars & World Peace Tour 4 Children

World Peace Tour 4 Children Mission & Education Program

World Peace Tour 4 Children (WPT4C) Inc., is a Las Vegas - based and soon to be finalized 501 (3)(c), nonprofit organization. "The core mission of World Peace Tour 4 Children (WPT4C) is to support the building of the culture of peace in various countries of the world, with special focus on Africa. In this context, WPT4C believes very strongly that peace and development are closely interlinked and that one is not possible without the other. To secure a better quality of life for the needy children of the world and their sustainable development, the culture of peace is the most essential requirement. At the same time, WPT4C also believes very earnestly that today's younger generation needs to be empowered to become the agents of non-violence and peace individually and collectively to ensure a just, secure and equitable world. For that, they need to inculcate the culture of peace in themselves through peace education and other societal support. WPT4C wants to achieve these objectives by raising awareness and mobilizing public opinion and resources through organizing high-profile concerts in various countries in close collaboration with local artists and other partners as well as national governments and private sector. Through this creative way, WPT4C intends to contribute to the sustainable peace and development both at the country and global levels." Peace

Wolfgang Hildebrandt (President, CEO & Founder of the WPT4C)

“On March 20.2008 I was honored to be a part of the Peace Bell ringing at the United Nations for the real Earth Day. People from different Nations, different skin colors, different races, different religions, different countries and different ages stood together for peace. Ambassador Anwarul Chowdhury rang the Peace Bell created by children of Japan from coins, l and in my mind and heart, it confirmed my idea of the World Peace Tour 4 Children. I am convinced more than ever, that now is the time to move forward and start. Yes, NOW is the time, today is the day, not tomorrow - not next week; today is the day to make a difference. The difference we can only do together. When I was 4 years old I heard the speech of Dr. Martin Luther King on German TV, and although I couldn’t fully understand him, the spirit and his charisma shows me, that this man stood for hope. When he died on April 4.1968 I felt, that we have to do something--that the dream of Dr. Martin Luther never dies and that the death of Dr. Martin Luther King was really the beginning for a big change in our minds. Many things changed since that time, many countries now live in more in democratic ways, more citizens have won the right to vote and equality between men and women, and different races grows more each day. But there is so much more that we cannot accept: the worldwide problem with HIV AIDS, climate change, corruption by many government officials in countries. But the main problem of all is, that we don’t think enough about our children. When we think more about the children of our world, other problems would never grow because they are the change makers; the peace builders. The result is that "Children are the future, and when Children have no future, no one has a future. The World Peace Tour 4 Children has many friends, and music is a universal language. Our worldwide concerts and the reason for these concerts will give Children all over the world HOPE. With income received from the concerts we will help the children in the United States, Europe, Asia, Africa, South America, Middle East and Antarctica. Our concerts have a unique "education program for children" embedded into a legacy that we will leave behind long after the concert is over. We will work together with local organizations in every country to reach out and support projects that enable children and youth. Our WPT4C concerts in 2008 will begin this year in Namibia, Africa, Laguna Beach (California), Seoul (South Korea), Euskirchen (Germany), and in 2009 we will go to Los Angeles, New York, Jerusalem and Bethlehem. Gala concerts are planned for 2010 in Egypt, India and South Africa and we will keep you informed as we move forward about other exciting locations and events. From my heart, and from our team, I extend a great thank you to all our World Peace Tour 4 Children friends and I am always happy for every email and ideas to help us in any way. I will say thank you too, to those who believe our vision is not possible; or to those who won’t join the peaceful movement we work for on behalf of the children in our world. To all these I will say, "You can’t stop a dream, a vision and a mission. A smiling face of a child is much stronger as all weapons in the world. Let’s change guns into guitars".

Time is my Master!

Time is my Master!

At forty-nine I have finally come to realize that time is my master. At this age you start to reflect on things you have done, and things you have not done. At this age you start to realize things that you can still get done, and things you will never get done, because time is your master.

One thing I have wanted to do is to make an impact on our environment, as I have developed one belief system in my forty-nine years; “There are no passengers on our planet earth, we are al… Continue

Juris Rutkowski, A Great German Street Artist From Latvia

An article about a great street artist from Latvia, who has chosen Germany as the stage to expose his enourmous talent.

As a person growning up in New York City I got to see a lot of those who are commonly reffered to as “street artists”; this being the expression used for any person or group of which who chose to perform in public for what ever money the gratitude and appreciation of their public will hand them. These street performers as they are also sometimes reffered to come in a large va… Continue

The Occupation Musseum, A Great Place Of History To Visit In Latvia’s Capital Riga

An article on my recent visit to Riga’s “Occupation Museum”, where one can see for oneself the horrors that most have been the time period that were the years between 1940 and 1990, specially during Stallin’s brutal regime.

In all honesty I must declare that before coming to Riga, where I currently find myself in I knew very little if anything about Latvia, other then that it had once been a part of the Soviet Union along with Estonia and Lithuania. These three countries making up the Baltic St… Continue
